2009年1月，我在曼谷遇見pi泰象伕

和大象yora在街頭討生活；

為了能吃飽，他們遠離鬧乾旱東北的家。

 

2009年4月，紅衫軍再起，曼谷宣佈進入緊急狀態……

當大家還在為旅遊警示該亮黃燈還紅燈，而爭論不休時，

因為一個承諾，我再度踏上未知的旅程！

 

Yora，你們還在曼谷哪一角呢？

這次，我要跟你們一起返鄉過新年！

一段五百多公里的迢迢返鄉路……

 

人算不如天算，象伕pi泰跟大象們早已不知去向……

 

 原來他們又換地方居住了，在曼谷流浪了三月，

pi泰這群象伕們省吃儉用，存了一萬泰銖，

從東北家鄉租了這輛卡車，準備通通打包回家過潑水節！

 

 

 很努力爬上卡車的YORA……

 

一家三口的情誼………

 

這是一趟難以忘懷的泰國東北旅程，

七天的外景，

我們居然找到了失落已久的童年回憶，

我們看見了人象之間，跟家人一樣親的情感，

如果，像素林那樣的大象收容中心多一些，

曼谷200多頭流浪大象的數字，就會少一些。

 

 

 

不再搬運木材的大象們，依舊是泰國這塊土地上的寶。

 由於食物與水源匱乏，泰國的大象數量不斷減少，因此泰國政府提出各項計畫，以提高大象數量，除了人工受孕之外，還包括了冷凍精液計畫，2007年3月第一隻人工受孕的大象在泰國成功誕生，這也是全球第一個以生物科技保存大象精液的方式。

 

 

 

也因為食物與水源匱乏，象伕和大象才不得已離鄉打拼到都市角落討生活。
