2009年四月開始，日本也開放打工度假，德島拉麵店是少數率先加入Working Holiday的日本店家。有去過日本的人一定都嚐過當地的拉麵，德島拉麵與眾不同之處就在於香嫩多汁的五花肉，同時還要打顆生雞蛋下去中和湯頭鹹味，最後還要來一碗白飯，因為德島人把拉麵當配菜，白飯才是主食。

大谷燒：陶器大、腿力大、壓力也大
司馬光打破的大水缸現在恐怕很難找了，但是在德島大谷竟然還有人專門製作大型陶器。製作傳統大谷燒必須兩人合作，一人站上板凳在高處捏形，一人則躺在下方草蓆使勁地踩動轉台，才能完成一件大谷燒。腿力不夠的人踩沒幾下，恐怕就會像小豫兒一樣翻白眼腿抽筋。傳承220年的家族事業，師傅每天窩在工作室裡開發新產品，一旁堆積如山的咖啡空瓶就不難想像延續傳統產業的壓力讓人喘不過氣。

大塚美術館：永遠不會翻臉的機器人解說員
在鳴門海峽附近的山裡頭有間大塚美術館，有人開玩笑的形容這裡全都是山寨版的複製畫，其實這是全世界唯一的陶版複製畫美術館。蒙娜麗莎的微笑、梵蒂岡西斯汀禮拜堂的創世紀、最後的晚餐，許多名家如梵谷、高更、畢卡索的畫作這裡通通有，而且因為是陶版畫所以愛怎麼摸就怎麼摸。更酷的是美術館機器人不但為你解說，還會幫你找出最相像的一幅畫作。
