OS.1    James自述

 

從來到湖南的第一天起，我就決定要破除外界認為「湖南人吃很辣」的謠言。

原因很簡單，

因為湖南並不擅長出產辣椒…。

身為廚師的我，因為節目征戰過許多國家，和世界各國的辣椒交手不下百次，出發之前我特地針對湖南人偏愛的辣椒種類，上網做了功課…

有人說象鼻涮涮辣千萬別碰，因為它只要稍微在水裡涮一下，整碗水立刻辛辣無比，沒人能喝完。所以象鼻涮涮辣不可以直接拿來做菜，更不可以直接試吃，否則會有生命危險。

也有人說，小米辣雖然比不上涮涮辣，但是對於不擅長吃辣的人來說，卻足以造成麻痺 抽筋 昏眩…等不同等級的暫時性半殘狀態。而且更危險的是，它總是默默混在湖南眾多的辣椒之中，防不勝防。

 

 

 

OS.2    喬喬告白

 

XXX！辣死我了！我竟然被湖南大嬸給騙了，要不是攝影機對著我，我應該立刻變成失控姐啦…。

有看節目的朋友都知道，我的專長是吃甜，在台灣吃鴛鴦鍋，我永遠被劃分在白湯鍋底這一邊。但是既然來了湖南，我當然不能光靠老詹…就在我這個念頭閃過的同時，第一根箭「咻」的一聲！紮實穿過我的舌頭，(哇！好辣啊～)接著更讓我意想不到的是，後面緊接著，竟是上萬支的弓箭陣，猛攻圍剿著我頂多五公分舌頭。

湖南人為什麼喜歡吃辣？就跟我們「廚餘組頭子」為什麼無酒不歡一樣，實在很難一言蔽之，講歷史文化太掃興，講個人經驗分享，好像又沒有代表性，那…我們就來做實驗吧！看看詹姆士和喬喬各自用什麼方法來證明，湖南人 真的／假的 很能吃辣！
